Hiiumaa–Saaremaa Tour

Discover Estonia’s most captivating islands on this four-day journey combining nature, heritage and local traditions. Enjoy peaceful landscapes, historic lighthouses and a memorable seal-watching experience on Hiiumaa, followed by medieval charm, dramatic coastlines and Midsummer celebrations on Saaremaa. This programme is ideally suited for congress participants, offering a well-balanced and seamless travel experience with expert local guides.

Programme

Day 1 – Sun, 21 June | Tallinn – Hiiumaa

  • 09:30 departure from Tallinn
  • Ferry Rohuküla → Hiiumaa (lunch at own expense)
  • Suuremõisa Manor – guided visit
  • Transfer to Kärdla harbour → 2-hour seal-watching boat trip
  • Accommodation on Kassari Island
  • Dinner & Midsummer’s Eve celebrations

Day 2 – Mon, 22 June | Hiiumaa – Saaremaa

  • Breakfast
  • Hiiumaa highlights:
    • Reigi Church
    • Kõpu Lighthouse
    • Ristna coastal defence structures
    • Paradise Beach & Kalana coastline
  • Lunch in Kalana (own expense)
  • Ferry Sõru → Triigi
  • Stop at Angla Windmill Hill
  • Accommodation in Saaremaa (2 nights)
  • Dinner at hotel

Day 3 – Tue, 23 June | Saaremaa

  • Breakfast
  • Kuressaare Episcopal Castle
  • Lunch in Kuressaare
  • Visit to Lambakogu theme park
  • Stop at Panga Cliff
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Midsummer’s Day atmosphere across the island

Day 4 – Wed, 24 June | Saaremaa – Tallinn

  • Breakfast & check-out
  • 14:00 ferry to mainland (lunch at own expense)
  • Approx. 16:30 arrival in Tallinn
